No Limits Foundation (Camp No Limits) is a non-profit organization 501 (c)(3) providing camps for children with limb loss and differences. The camp aims to provide education, mentorship, and support to these children and their families. Camp No Limits fosters a welcoming and supportive community in the hopes of helping all those who attend the camp.
Founded in 2004, Camp No Limits was developed to address the needs of children with limb loss / limb difference and their families by providing an opportunity to meet other families “like them”. Camp No Limits offers a unique family camp experience that engages both parent and child through peer support, adaptive recreation activities, and state-of-the-art prosthetic education.
Unlike any other program, Camp No Limits offers programs designed by specialized Occupational and Physical Therapists, Prosthetists, and adults with limb loss / limb difference. We aim to optimize the functional independence of children with limb loss / limb difference and provide support for the children, parents, siblings, and other family members as well.
To create a diverse and welcoming experience within Camp No Limits that is accessible and inclusive of people from all backgrounds and a reflection of our mutual hearts without borders.
The No Limits Foundation commits to and promotes anti-racism, anti-discrimination, diversity, equity, and inclusion in our organization, our leaders, our staff, and our volunteers. We strive to eliminate all forms of discrimination and to provide access and opportunity in an environment that welcomes and includes all persons regardless of mental or physical ability, ethnicity, color, race, religious belief, age, marital status, pregnancy, genetic information, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender expression, gender identity, veteran status, immigration status, or citizenship.
As an organization that seeks to educate and empower young people with limb loss and limb difference and their families, we commit to fostering a welcoming and supportive community that helps all those who attend our camps and activities. We believe that we further that purpose through positive action against hate, prejudice, racism, and injustice. We shall, therefore, continue to implement policies and practices that, consistent with our mission, create a more accessible and inviting community that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion. We encourage all those who support our mission to do the same. We expect all camp participants to honor the spirit of this statement, and commit to a mutual respect for one another.
Diversity is an inclusive concept that encompasses, without limitation, a set of characteristics, experiences, conditions, and perspectives that makes each person unique. I recognize that to better reflect the diversity that exists in my community, I must take action to include groups historically marginalized and underrepresented. I believe that a diverse group of volunteers is critical to the success of the Camp No Limits mission to educate and empower all young people with limb loss or limb difference to discover and develop a healthy, happy, and independent lifestyle. Moreover, I recognize that diversity is beneficial for the entire community of young people who live with limb loss or limb difference. Therefore, I commit to active engagement in diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Camp No Limits setting.
To educate and empower young people with limb loss/limb difference and their families to discover and develop a healthy, happy and independent lifestyle.
